Why We Love It

Think of this as the tinted sister to our Sheer Hydration Untinted—an everyday mineral sunscreen, moisturizer and little bit of complexion perfecter all in one.

Sheer Hydration Versatile Tint gives you broad-spectrum SPF 40 protection along with hydration and antioxidants, but with just enough tint to even things out and give your skin a little color. This is not foundation, and that's exactly what I like about it. It doesn't look or feel overly makeup-y. The finish is sheer, healthy and luminous—more like your skin on a really good day.

One thing I always tell my clients: despite the name “Versatile Tint,” this shade isn't going to work for everyone. If you're very fair, I would choose the Untinted Sheer Hydration instead. But on light-medium to medium-tan complexions, this can be absolutely beautiful.

Like the original Sheer Hydration, this is a 100% mineral sunscreen with zinc oxide and titanium dioxide. It also contains antioxidants including vitamin C, vitamin E, resveratrol and glutathione to give your skin some additional defense against the environmental stressors we encounter every day.

Who is it for?
I especially like this for normal to dry skin and for someone who wants to simplify their morning routine. If you like a little complexion evening but don't necessarily want to put on makeup every day, this can be that perfect middle ground: moisturizer, SPF and a touch of sheer color in one step.

How to use:
Apply generously to your face, neck and chest every morning as the last step in your skincare routine, 15 minutes before sun exposure. For many people, this provides enough hydration to take the place of a separate morning moisturizer. If your skin is very dry, you can absolutely layer your moisturizer underneath. Reapply your sunscreen throughout the day as needed and after swimming, washing, towel drying or heavy perspiration.
